The Chelsea Sales Department consists of
the manager of sales operations, an administrative assistant, a project
estimator, an expediter/scheduler and three regional sales representatives
that are responsible for serving the needs of the authorized builders in
their territories. This group is dedicated to
working with our authorized builders to successfully partner in bringing
profitable new Chelsea Homes orders into the factory.

Marketing
The Chelsea Marketing Director and his team
work closely with Chelsea upper management, the Chelsea Sales Department and
outside media and communications suppliers to implement and coordinate
marketing, advertising, and promotional services, developing projects built
on strategies that support the Chelsea business plan.

Engineering
The Chelsea Engineering Department is an
exclusive in-house CAD-design service that provides the Chelsea sales and
production departments with accurate plans and specifications in support of the
approved sales orders submitted for each new modular home project.

Accounting
The Chelsea Accounting Department provides
payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable services, and all general
accounting functions and regular reports required by management to operate the
entire manufacturing facility and all its departments.

Human Resources
The Chelsea Human Resources Department is
responsible for processing and filing all employee applications, related
employment records, payroll and tax records and benefit programs associated
with individual's employment with Chelsea Modular Homes, Inc. This
department also maintains complete employee handbooks for office procedures
and production facility procedures.

Purchasing
The Chelsea Purchasing Department maintains a
manufacturing product inventory system, negotiates purchasing contracts with all
outside suppliers and vendors and does the day-to-day purchasing of all building
materials required to operate the Chelsea facility.

Quality Assurance
The Chelsea Quality Assurance team is
responsible for all in-house inspections of engineering drawings, and each
production phase to assure all specifications and standards are being met
throughout the building process. They work closely
with an independent third-party company that perform routine scheduled
inspections and appraisals of all work performed in the manufacturing
environment to assure that all requirements of the industry systems manual
are being adhered to.

Factory Production
The Chelsea Factory Production Department is
responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of all manufacturing
processes which consists of two dozen various work stations that make up the
production line. Line foremen and team leaders, reporting to the Chief of
Production are responsible for scheduling of all work at their stations. They
are to maintain the highest quality craftsmanship and assist their neighboring
work stations as schedules will allow to assure that line moves are kept on
schedule toward the goal of completed production of each modular at the end of
the production line.

Transportation
The Chelsea Transportation Department
coordinates with the Sales Scheduler to assure that completed production
modules are carrier-mounted and road-ready, scheduled for delivery, with
transportation routes confirmed and required permits secured.
The office also hires outside services for extra contract haulers as
necessary and for pole cars and escort vehicles as required.

Set Crews
The Chelsea Set Crews provide complete
installation services at the home site once the modules are delivered to their
final destination. Upon completion of their site work,
each home must be in a weather-tight condition. The authorized builder on the
project does the balance of the site work and finish work on the home required
of the project specifications.

Customer Service
The Chelsea Customer Service Department is
responsible for warrantee related service issues on the completed home.
This department may also be called upon to perform installation and repair
services on broken, missing or incorrectly installed components due to
production shortfalls for various circumstances beyond the factory's control,
such as back ordered product that didn't arrive by shipment date of the modules.
