Our company has always prided itself in being on the leading edge of construction technology and firmly believes that factory-built housing represents the best of the building industry's future. There is certainly tremendous opportunity for growth. Statistics from some of our trade associations point to the fact that modular home construction in 2001 accounted for only 6% of the total home building construction throughout the United States. The percentage of modular construction nationwide continues to grow each year!

We are proud that we have played a big part in growing to more than 20% the modular segment of our regional market. This is a much higher success rate than the national statistics quoted and we are continuing to penetrate the market at a rapid pace. By providing better value, higher quality and shorter building timeframes, we have been able to satisfy more and more builders and their home-buying customers.

Manufacturing Facilities

Chelsea Modular Homes has spared no expense in creating the most innovative and modern facility available to insure the highest quality, cost-effective manufacturing. The design of our 118,000 square foot facility is pure center-line production. All component assembly and pre-cutting is accomplished off the assembly line. These components are then distributed throughout the facility by material handlers to assemblers, simplifying labor efforts and reducing the chance for error. The result is a code approved, quality home, built on time.

Our facility's machinery and tooling represents state-of-the-art design. The superiority of finished workmanship is directly related to the cleanliness and quality of the work area. All work equipment is O.S.H.A. approved and a worker awareness program is in place to insure the proper use of equipment and materials. Our quality control process and independent final inspection program provide further and continually improving quality of every home leaving our facility bound for a new home site.

Location

We are centrally located in Marlboro in New York's Hudson River Valley — within a half-days drive of Albany, New York City, Hartford, Providence, Boston and Philadelphia.
